We are well into summer holidays; enjoying sleeping in, spending 90% of our time outside, basking in the extreme heat and humidity, entertaining visitors, reading, visiting friends' cottages, relaxing (except for one of us who has 'work' to do ... BOOOOO!!!!).  It has been a stellar summer ... so far!

Sparkles!

Sparkles is the newest member of our family ... earned by Cadence who has shown responsibility and commitment (to a 5 year old level!).

I thought caring for a fish would be a cinch ... not so much!  But our girl LOVES her new pet and that's all that matters!

'Exceedingly' Good!

Cadence's last week of Kindergarten was bitter sweet!  She participated in a 'Celebrate Me' performance once again and received a stellar report card that was definitely cause for celebration ... lunch with a friend and dinner with her parents!  We are unbelievably proud of our confident, positive, independent, strong, capable, advanced, eager, enthusiastic leader! We would have been thrilled with even one of those 'descriptors' ... well done Cadence!!!  Now, sweet baby girl, you are off to grade 1 with the big kids ... in the big yard.  We know you are ready, we know you will rock it, we know you are growing up!!!!!
