Tough Week!

Some weeks we try to do our shopping on Friday after school as Saturdays tend to be a tad hectic.
Cadence wasn't quite up to the task ...

I absolutely adore this photo ... she is truly precious!

Her Choice ..

This Halloween Cadence actually got to choose her own costume. She had a fairy in mind from the get go so ... a fairy she was.
As would be expected, there was an abundance of posing once she was in full costume:



There were even a few fairy dance moves:


She was MOST excited about getting the opportunity to wear REAL make up:

And then she was OFF...and running:

Back at home checking out the goods ... and there were plenty!

Happy Halloween!

We had one very important detail to tackle today .. our jack-o-lantern!
Cadence wanted a spooky pumpkin so we set off to accomplish our task ...
Step one ... clean out the guts!

While mom used the knife to carve the pumpkin's face (an adult's job), Cadence made the snacks!

We were both pretty pleased with our end product:

Black and Orange AND ...

picture day!
Yep ... the school picture day was scheduled on A Day K's Black and Orange Day. No worries, we made it work!

Not all parents were on board with the day's theme so,

when Cadence wasn't keen on the black and orange hair extensions that I was going to add to her outfit after the photo,

I relented!

Personally, I think she rocked the black and orange!

Mamma Needs a New Pair of Shoes

Cause baby's been wearin' hers!
I'm afraid my obsession has rubbed off on Cadence ... it was bound to happen ... right?!

Once again, she 'hams' it up for the camera ...






These 'moves' are ALL her! She's been on fire lately.
And since she's so dang cute, I had to share them all!

Let It Snow ...

Thursday we experienced our first snowfall of the season.

It didn't stick around.

But still ...

It is a reminder of what is to come.

Predictions are ... not good!

We are to expect a LOT of snow this year.

The snowblower maintenance check is booked.

Cadence is signed up for ski lessons.

What's left?

Oh yeah ... book a sunny destination so we can escape some of it!
