Cadence's First Ski

Meet the Newest Ski Bunny!

We signed Cadence up for ski lessons well before Christmas this year ... waiting last year meant ... it didn't happen!
Last week she started practising 'suiting up':

And 'heel toe':

She showed off her second pair of new skiis and her pass;

All dressed and ready to go ....

(For the record, she really was happy and excited ... 'seriously, for real life' as she would say!)

And she's off ....

Despite the cool temperatures today, Cadence REALLY enjoyed her first day on the 'slopes' and did AWESOME! She can already stop and turn a bit ... pretty amazing what they can do after just one day!

Coming Together for a Good Cause

We were all set to celebrate a K**r**y Christmas this weekend! Unfortunately, a snow storm to the south and being under the weather, led to a postponement...
Luckily, some good friends were willing to pitch in and pick up a fork (and a glass of wine or two) and join us! It was a fun and festive impromtu evening ...

The kids (all 6 of them) enjoyed their dinner:

While the other 6 'kids' enjoyed some starters.

The girls played house, barbie, make up and watched a movie. They sang and danced and giggled away...

While we enjoyed some adult conversation.

Someone enjoyed quiet time away from the girls and the adults!

Practice Makes Perfect?

Once again ... I have difficulty picking just one. Cadence is just toooo dang delightful in these!

If you don't have the interest, or the time, might I suggest going right to #3 ... it's my favourite.

In the past few weeks, Cadence has consistently been using the following phrases:

• "Of course", in place of yes
• "That's soooo embarrassing!"
• "I'm totally serious. It's the truth."

Sometimes she sounds like a pre-teen.
