Just when you thought it couldn't get worse ...

So, after waiting 4 days without a computer to check 'the news' I find out China has only referred TWO stinkin' days ... one, two ... that's it! We WILL NOT be next! Not even sure we will get a referral in June at this pace ... I am afraid that I shouldn't have gotten caught up in any kind of certaintly and optimism. How could I even think this would finally work out in the end ...
I also read about a couple who were referred a four year old (an older couple ... sound familiar?) ... I'm beginning to worry that this may not happen folks! I am done guessing, predicting and planning. When we get the call, IF we get the call ... you'll hear ... outside of that, be prepared to be bored reading about the mundane aspects of our life!!! Sorry to be so negative but right now I'm just plain worn out! Oh, and to top things off, my windshield was hit with some big rock or hunk of ice .... I'm gonna need to replace it ... great, just great!!!

Yeah, wasn't that a lovely bit of news...two days. I've limited my on-line viewing to about 10 minutes a day now. I'll just wait for the province of NB to call me and tell me when Lola arrives. I'm done predicting and listening to well-intentioned people telling me it will all work out.

Hope you at least had a great weekend (pre-windshield incident) althought I'm sure it went by way too fast!!

p.s. I'd be interested to hear the age of the couple that got the 4 year old. A couple here came home with Samuel - he's 3½ but because both parents were over 50 the youngest they could adopt would have been 3 y.o. according to CCAA rules. No worries. You will get your baby.

Hang in there guys...I know this is really hard. The CCAA DID tell agencies to expect up to a 2 yr wait to referral...can't say they didn't prepare us. *grin*

Try to keep positive - having been there myself, I KNOW it's difficult, but don't give up hope now.

my daughter has a date of july 0/6 I saw her over the week-end and she is ready to quit the whole process. I had to do alot of talking about how short a time another few years are out of a lifetime. reading your blogs really help us all survive this journey. you that are enduring the wait will be always be in our minds. you have so many more supporters than you will ever know.
