Trying Something New

You will notice I have set up a 'poll' on my sidebar. The purpose is twofold: 1) to assist me in choosing the right brand to purchase and 2) to try a new feature on Blogger. Please give voting a try and then if you have any comments add them to this post. Sorry, I only really know of 2 basic brands so .... if there are 'others' out there ... let me know! Looking for good swimming ones too! AND, if you have any suggestions on size ... bring it on ... I am struggling rookie!

LOVING YOUR BLOG!!! I said others in the vote because I really like the Costco Kirkland brand. They are VERY similar to Papers Swaddlers but they start at size 3 which will probably be perfect for you. They are really durable and hold a lot but very comfy feeling like swaddlers. I really like them. Good luck.

Pampers cruisers are the best. They are hold a lot, are strechy and don't feel like cardboard. Watch for sales at Shoppers Drugmart, they go on sale every couple of weeks and stock up. Amanda

I am going by my personal opinion of my 3 children.. Even though they are now 17,14 and 13. I used Huggies on ALL 3 of them.. Pampers did not hold as well and they would leak..
But who knows.. I would try each one and see what YOU prefer..
Ii think I am going to use Huggies on Isabella..
You are almost ready to go.. Can't wait to follow your journey over to China..
Have a GREAT week..

We needed size 2 when we first adopted Chloe...and she only recently "graduated" to size 3. It wouldn't hurt to buy diapers every time you see them go on sale. Buy size 3 just in case, because you can always get 2's if you need them. I've used Pampers and Huggies, and I like the Huggies better. We get the huge boxes of them at Sam's.

Honestly, we used Pampers and Huggies at first...but really, I couldn't tell the difference between them and the Kroger/Walmart brand ones. The only ones I would NOT recommend is LUVs. I guess if we were bringing home newborns it might matter more but at this age..cheaper the better!

I did use Huggies Overnighters for those big ones : )

Your sister uses the Zehrs brand. The "supreme" versiion. They hold alot and stay dry. Olivia can go all night without a leak. While I was in the Soo I bought the Huggies supreme at Mom's store and she was soaked by 2 a.m.! I think you get 140 of the Zehrs diapers in the bulk box of size 3 for $24.99. Good value in my opinion.

It really depends on your child which brand of diapers fit best. Also, as the baby grows, different brands fit better. We liked Huggies most of the time. Try the generic ones at Costco or Target, too. It's worth trying due to the cost. Costco's "kirkland" brand wipes are a great deal as well.
Buy a small package of each type you're considering so you'll be able to tell which fits best & which are easier for you to use, too.
